The PIHABF once again sealed the deal with ABSCBN as year 2007’s media partner. Since 2005, ABSCBN has been giving its support to the event in terms of TV guestings and exposure, TV ad promotions, specials and on-site activities with the Kapamilya stars. This year they are expected to have local presence since the opening of their Regional Network in San Fernando, Pampanga headed by Ms. Irene Copiozo.

The contract signing was graced by Hon. Rene Diaz of the Office of the President in Central Luzon, Air Transportation Assistant Secretary Nilo Jatico and CDC EVP Philipp Panlilio. Event co-presentor UPS was also represented by its able Marketing Manager Jonel Guitapp. And of course, the members of the PIHABF 2007 Organizing Committee headed by Capt. Joy Roa were present to sign the Memorandum of Agreement.

SM CITY CLARK LAUNCHES THE 11TH PIHABF

Newly opened SM City Clark launched the 11th PIHABF last January 14 at its Activity Center. Mall spectators were excited to see the pre-event activities which were showcased like indoor kite flying by Mike Espiritu of the Kite Team Philippines, RC model airplane exhibition and displays by Joel Paje and the inflation of the quarter-size hot air balloon by Orly Ongkingko.

A paper-airplane making contest was held and hosted by Event Director Capt. Joy Roa. Seven kids were randomly chosen from the audience to do a flight duration contest with the paper airplanes they made themselves. Ten year old Rafael Balilo won with 3.84 sec winning a free real airplane ride during the fiesta.

Local bands also gave the activity it’s fun and festive theme.
