    Second Dreamlifter rolls out in livery


    The second of three specially modified 747-400 "Dreamlifters" rolled out of the hangar Sunday in Taipei, Taiwan, painted in its new livery. The airplanes are being modified and painted by Evergreen Aviation Technologies Corp. They will transport the large composite pieces of the 787 Dreamliner from partner sites worldwide to Everett, Wash., for final assembly. The second Dreamlifter will make its first flight in the next few weeks and is expected to arrive in Seattle sometime in February.

    Are the Dreamlifters second-hand 747-400s or brand-new?

    I believe they are second hand 744s sourced from various airlines.

    The Dreamlifter looks really pretty in the livery.
